Hello All!!!

Hi Everyone! This is my 1st time ever doing a blog so bare with me as I get used to sharing my personal life and stories. I'm going to try and post quite often but hey sometimes life gets in the way of thing and I may not be able to get on here like that. I want to introduce myself...I'm Erica! I am a free lance fashion designer and student. I have studied fashion for roughly 7 or 8 years. I love fashion, art, music, anything that is enhancing and culturally stimulating. I discovered that I had a passion for fashion during the 6th grade when I would look forward to watching red carpet events and anticipated seeing the stars attire. Then eventually I began to sketch what I saw, which later turned into my own designs. Once I reached high school I was able to practice my craft of sewing and fell head over heels with it.

I love to see something start from a folded up square and turn into this miraculous masterpiece. To watch something go from nothing to something is an awarding experience and to know that you played a role in it heightens the experience. Its almost like giving birth to a newborn especially when its something everyone else admires. The whole design process is stimulating and awakening feeling. Its like having a piece of clay and molding and shaping it into a great piece of artwork.

In a since I am a piece of clay ready to be molded and shaped into a great respected designer within the industry. My goals are to open a few boutiques around the country to gain notice and experience then eventually have my clothing line. After I make a big success doing that I want to slow down and allow someone else to have some creative control and become a private, personal designer to top paid clients. I would then create one of a kind pieces and they would be like my canvases to vent my moods on. And in the midst of all this I plan on raising a family and taking care of other ventures.

Well I hope this was a good insight into the thought process of my creativity and personal space. It will become my duty to make this blog and enjoyable and friendly place.
